PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority (the "Authority") will hold a public hearing on March 31, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., prevailing time, at the offices of the Authority located at 1035 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043 in connection with a plan of financing for the proposed issuance of tax-exempt revenue bonds (the "Bonds"), in one or more series on one or more dates. The Bonds are being issued for the benefit of The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania (the "University"). A. Initial Owner: The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania B. Maximum Par Amount of Issue: $210,000,000 C. Purpose of Financing and Nature of the Financed Facilities: The proceeds of the Bonds will be used for a project (the "Project") consisting of: (i) the refinancing of certain outstanding indebtedness of the University, including all or a portion of the Authority's The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania Revenue Bonds, Series B of 2009, Series of 2010 and Series A of 2011 (collectively, the "Refunded Bonds"); and (ii) the payment of costs of issuing the Bonds. The Refunded Bonds were issued to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, renovation, improvement and equipping of a large portion of the University's existing educational facilities. D. Location of Facilities: The University facilities financed or refinanced by the Refunded Bonds are located (i) on the campus of the University in the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the boundaries of which are Ludlow Street on the north, Greys Ferry Avenue on the south, 30th Street on the east and 43rd Street on the west, and (ii) at the New Bolton Center at 382 West Street Road, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
